Dell Ultrasharp 32 HDR Monitor Takes Aim at Apple

Professionals need precision and higher quality in their monitors in order to work on the visuals they are tasked with. Dell recognises that need and is also acknowledging the need to compete against Apple’s Pro Display XDR. That’s what lead the tech company to release the Dell Ultrasharp 32 HDR. The new monitor features 2,000 mini-LED backlit dimming zones.

In addition to being a 4K monitor, the Ultrasharp 32 HDR monitor features other qualities that professionals find helpful, such as built-in calibration tools. Specifically, those tools include an integrated Calman Powered colorimeter, which allows for the display to be calibrated even if it’s not connected to a computer.

When you do connect the monitor to a computer, you can choose from a DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, or USB. The monitor also offers wide color support using DCI-P3 colour coverage set at 99.8 percent. It also supports VESA DisplayHDR 1000 support. Finally, peak brightness comes in at 1,000 nits. Those kind of stats and features firmly place this monitor in the realm of video and photo editing. They also mean that Dell is more than ready to take on Apple, challenging the company for its dominance in the market.
