Triumph rocket 3 limited edition 13

Triumph Just Made the Rocket 3 Cool Again

Triumph went lean and mean when it comes to their new limited edition Rocket 3 cruisers. The motorcycle manufacturer trimmed 90 pounds off of the bike while also amping up the power with a larger 2,458cc inline-triple engine. To finish the builds of the new Rocket 3 R and the Rocket 3 GT, Triumph added a touch of sinister, giving the bikes an all-black paint scheme.

The Rockets feature an aluminium chassis, which houses the 2.5-litre engine with its liquid-cooled triple. Capable of 165 horsepower, the engine also pumps out 163 lb-ft of torque, and is the largest production motorcycle engine in the world. The bikes also come with 47mm adjustable Showa forks with black anodized fork lowers. Brembo Stylema monobloc brakes with floating discs help to rein in the power of the engine.

The rider seats and pillion are tailored to the bike and come with adjustable ergonomics. Riders benefit from four riding modes—Road, Rain, Sport, and Rider-configurable. The bike also features optimized cornering ABS and traction control. You also get hill hold and cruise control, as well as keyless ignition and keyless steering lock.

Both the Rocket 3 R and the Rocket 3 GT are limited to just 1,000 examples, and both have received a special black paint treatment accomplished in three shades. The components are all blacked out, and the front mudguard features carbon fibre. The exhaust headers, heat shields and end caps are also completely black, while a crinkle black powder coating was applied to the intake cover.

Everywhere you look, from the headlight bezels and mudguard mounts to the fly screen finishers, radiator cowls, and badging all received the meaner look and attitude courtesy of the three shades of black. You can also customize the bikes to your preferences using genuine Triumph accessories. The Rocket 3 R starts at $23,700, while the Rocket 3 GT starts at USD$24,400.
