Indian Goes Rogue for ‘Aggressive’ 2022 Scout Motorcycles

Indian Motorcycles’ Scout Rogue is getting a new look for 2022. The new version comes in two flavours, the Rogue and the Rogue Sixty, and both offer a more aggressive stance as well as improved handling. But what really stands out about the bikes is the ties to what makes riders love their motorcycles.

“For so many motorcyclists, riding carries a rogue spirit—a bold statement of freedom and individuality that brings riders together—and Scout Rogue delivers that in spades,” says Indian Motorcycle Vice President Aaron Jax.

The aggression that is embodied in the new Rogues comes from some cosmetic enhancements, which start with 19-inch aluminium wheels. The mini-ape hanger handlebars bring the rider’s wrists just below their shoulders, while the footpegs are slightly forward than that of other models. The solo seat rides above quarter fairing, and the exhaust system is completely blacked out for a more sinister sensation. But it’s not just all looks. The bikes are equipped with Indian’s liquid-cooled V-Twin. The Rogue Sixty offers up 78 horsepower, while the Rogue comes in at 100 horsepower.

The base model comes in Black Metallic and is priced at $11,499, and if you want to add ABS as an upgrade, you’ll have to invest an additional $900. Rogues with the ABS factory installed are available in Storm Blue, Sagebrush Smoke, Black Smoke, Black Smoke Midnight, and Stealth Gray colourways, and start out at $12,899.

From those starting points, you can add on a whole laundry list of accessories, including the Pathfinder adaptive LED headlight. This add-on uses 15 individual beams installed inside the 5.75-inch lamp. Using patented technology, the headlamp adjusts the beams based on the lean angle of the bike, projecting it farther and with greater light spread. This particular upgrade will run you $500. You can also pick up adjustable shocks for $800, a tachometer with a shift light for $300, and smoked turn signal lenses. And don’t forget to check out the options for different seats as well as the matching luggage.
