Here at Man of Many, we love Huckberry. The premium outdoor adventure destination works with some of the biggest and best names on the planet to offer a huge range of products that are always on our wish lists. One such maker is the Portland-based firm The James Brand, the outdoor accessory company made by adventurers for adventurers. This time around, the two legends have linked up for an exclusive pocket knife collaboration with climber and photographer Savannah Cummins.
The James Brand’s latest pocket knife arrives with all the hallmarks of the Portland-based business’ adventure ethos, albeit with a few heightened touches. Savannah’s insight and attention to detail spurred a renewed focus on comfort and ergonomics. Arriving in a custom ‘Sand Mocha’ colourway, the new Redstone knife features a two-tone grip and ambidextrous carry orientation, while the grip is inspired by the climbing holds you might find in a gym. It also delivers a solid hold no matter the task at hand, plus it is a perfect size and weight for anyone trying to pack light.
Right from the outset, it’s easy to note that the new custom Redstone builds upon the principles of the iconic earlier Redstone models. Built around a one-piece die-stamped chassis which makes it incredibly strong and provides a superior grip. It still features its TJB Slide-Lock design for secure lock-up and easy one-handed use, as well as the Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel blade for high corrosion resistance and great edge retention.
“We make knives and tools for people who live adventurously, for people like us… Our products are made with premium materials, a minimalist design aesthetic and clear attention to detail. We make knives and tools that are a better reflection of our values and lives. Modern, minimal everyday carry is what the James brand is all about.”
With the custom colourway and contrasting black blade giving the new EDC piece an enviable aesthetic, Huckberry has rightly described the new Redstone as “hands down the most handsome colour available”, and it’s hard to argue. The new and improved custom James Brand Redstone Knife is available right now. But we recommend getting it quick, cause this knife will be sold out before you can even say Adventure.
